Getting people engaged in changing time honored thought patterns and abstract alliances is a tall task. Everyone hated bureaucracies but few believe that they can be changed. For example, I have developed a voting system that would allow Long Island constituents to instruct their congressman exactly how to vote – as was envisioned by the founding fathers when they created the bicameral legislature. Long Islanders are receptive to the idea but are having a hard time wrapping their brains around having a subservient rep versus one who exudes false leadership. I have found that changing the mindset is the real challenge. Barring a huge, abrupt shift in the ideology there appears to be comfort levels achieved that Long Islanders have come to accept.

If you would like to see more info about some of what I am talking about you can visit my site at www.billcorrigan.com.

There is also a link to a primitive prototype of the voting system I developed at http://www.billcorrigan.com/BillCorriganforCongress.html

I look forward to your future posts.

Best regards,
Bill CorriganAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
